Blade

Blade is a character created by Marv Wolfman, Jack Abel and Gene Colan.

His mother was bitten by a vampire while she was pregnant with him. Thus, he was born as a dhampir, a vampire-human hybrid, with all of the powers of a vampire and none of the weaknesses (beyond a thirst for blood and his eyes being weakened by sunlight). He has dedicated his life to protecting humanity from vampires, hunting down and killing every vampire who threatens an innocent. He has a silver sword, silver knives, a gun that shoots silver bullets, wooden stakes, a sunlight flashlight, garlic gas bombs, and water guns filled with garlic juice. Due to his nature as a vampire, he is immune to sunlight, wooden stakes, garlic and silver, although his eyes are still hurt by sunlight, which is why he always wears sunglasses. He counters his thirst for blood by drinking a special serum that is similar enough to blood for him to consume.
