Kitana is a character from the "Mortal Kombat" movies, the show "Mortal Kombat: Conquest", the show "Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm", the show "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" and the "Mortal Kombat" videogames. She is the princess of Edenia whose parents, Queen Sindel and King Jerrod, were killed by Shang Tsung and Shao Khan. Thus, she helps the chosen heroes of Earth defeat Shang Tsung. Later, when Shao Khan brought Sindel back from the grave and brainwashes her to do his bidding, Kitana has no choice but to fight her. Thankfully, after Shao Khan is killed, Sindel's brainwashing is undone and she goes back to being a benevolent queen and a caring mother for Kitana. She is Liu Kang's girlfriend, and after Shao Khan is killed, they both stay in Edenia.
