Jesse Greenwood is the main character from the Free Willy movies. A misunderstood homeless kid, he was adopted by Annie and Glenn Greenwood, a married couple who were unable to bear children. After Jesse starts working in the local aquarium, he befriends Willy, a whale who lives there. Eventually, Jesse helps Willy go back to the sea, where he belongs. Willy and Jesse remain friends, and their friendship makes Jesse grow wiser and more mature. Eventually, Jesse becomes an oceanographer, protecting and nurturing for all creatures of the sea
